The Duke of Edinburgh Award team have just revealed their list of 25 character-building life experiences for young people. Working with KiB instantly gives you access to many of these top teenage life hacks, from getting to know an older person and volunteering for a charity, to mentoring someone younger.
The DofE checklist details 25 experiences to help young people build their character, confidence, independence and resilience. To build the list, the team surveyed 4,000+ business leaders, education professionals, parents and young people, and asked them what experiences they thought built character.
“The campaign links to the new Ofsted inspection framework in England, which includes a specific judgement category covering personal development, and the general increase in discussion around character and personal development in UK schools and businesses,” says Jade Herriot of the DofE.
