At the moment, our calendars cover five areas: Birmingham, Bishop’s Stortford, Dorset, Islington and Wiltshire. They’re available online and as a hard copy to hang on your wall. You can pick one up from your GP practice, local pharmacy or leisure centre. Whatever you enjoy – from board games to walking groups or music; arts and crafts to sports – there will something for you.

Healthcare experts have described our calendars as ‘game-changing’, saying it will help older people expand their social networks and improve their health.

“This service is bringing new community-based volunteers out of the woodwork to get involved in activities for our older population, with the direct aim of keeping patients well in their local communities, and reducing the burden on hospital beds,”says Claire Uwins of East of England Citizens’ Senate.
