Our Summer Singalong was shot over six months in gardens and car parks outside MHA care settings in Yorkshire.  All the songs are classics and there’s a lovely mix of blues, jazz, rock-and-roll and popular songs from the 1930s and 40s. Thanks to the Coronavirus Community Support Fund (distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund) and the government, for making the project possible.

Sue Oliver of MHA says: “These performances have helped alleviate the loneliness and frustration of lockdown and isolation for our residents and the staff who care for them. They’ve also brought joy and a sense of normality, and evoked memories of better times through the familiar music.”

All our sessions have been organised to comply with changing government safety rules and guidance in force at the time.

Meanwhile, our singers are still out there, wrapped up against the weather, while their audiences mainly stay warm and dry inside. Here’s Tessa with a Winter Wonderland…
